What a beautiful place, offering AYCE sushi and hotpot??
Food I've tried:
- Pricing: Lunch - $25.95 (adult), $12.95 (child)/ Dinner - $32.95 (adult), $16.95 (child)
- Sushi: very standard fish quality you can find at any AYCE sushi restaurant. Note that the sashimi and special makis are only available at dinnertime only. Unexpectedly good finding was the AVOCADO SALAD, which was essentially veggies mixed with creamy avocado dressing and roe which added a pleasant crunchiness. Very refreshing to eat with the other fattier options. SHUMAI was also very, very good - unlike other shumais, this one had a crispy fried exterior that worked really well with the soft shrimp interior.
- Hot Pot: the table comes with garlic, scallions, and chopped jalapenos so you can customize the broth somewhat. Note, that other than the house special broth, the other broth options (szechuan spicy, kimchee, tom yum, miso) cost additional $2. We opted for the house special, which tasted like a very standard hot pot broth base with MSG umami-ness. Each hot pot bowl is divided into two, so you can have multiple broth options. They were extremely generous with the portions of the meat and seafood. The quality of the meat was better than the seafood, but overall I was satisfied. My favorite meat was the PORK, as it was extremely tender and the best tasting out of all the meat options. Note that for the portion of the hot pot materials, it is based on the number of guests that you indicate at the top, so remember to change that number if you want smaller portions at the latter half of the meal.
Atmosphere:
- Standard sushi restaurant vibes. When we visited at Sunday lunchtime, it was not very crowded.
Service:
- The staff were all very friendly and we got our food at appropriate speeds.
Overall:
- Great variety, full stomachs, friendly staff for a reasonable price.
