An excellent option for fresh seafood, located at a very convenient location in Harvard Square.
Food I’ve tried: (* = my favorite)
- OYSTER* ($3 each): extremely fresh, comes with cocktail sauce and a vinegar based sauce. They have 8 different kinds of oyster, and the dish comes with a card, conveniently indicating which oyster is what. I personally tried the Duxury and Wellfleet, both of which were delicious, with a hint of natural sweetness.
- BLISTERED SHISHITOS ($10): a generous portion of roasted shishitos. I personally would have liked a touch more salt on them, but asides they were very well prepared.
- HUSHPUPPIES ($13): four balls of fried batter, accompanied by sweet/spicy butter. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, flecked with vegetables surrounded by a corn-meal consistency batter. I particularly liked the butter, which was a great complement to the batter.
- SEARED SCALLOPS ($34): beautifully seared scallops, with the hint of sweetness that accompanies fresh seafood. The cook was perfect, with the slightest hint of translucence in the middle. It came atop a bed of creamy risotto, which was rich with flavor.
- BUCATINI FRUTTI DI MARE ($32): as with everything else, the seafood was very fresh. The bucatini was the slightest bit more al dente then I expected, but I still enjoyed the dish. The sauce was a cross between vodka and traditional tomato based sauce, with touch of creaminess.
Atmosphere:
- Dim mood lighting, making the atmosphere good for a date or any other fancy occasion.
Service:
- The servers were very attentive, and our food came out very quick.
Overall:
- Great option for seafood, especially if you love quality oysters. A little pricey, but very fair for the quality.
