Excellent little place that delivered unexpectedly great flavors!
Food I've tried: (* = my favorite)
- CHICKEN KARAAGE ($8.95 - 5 pieces): amazing karaage. The exterior has just enough crispy batter that gives way to the very moist and tender meat. Everything is perfectly seasoned and it comes with spicy katsu mayo.
- PHO SATE* ($12.95): I have not tried their regular pho, but based on this dish I think I may have found my favorite pho restaurant in Boston. The noodles are the very standard rice noodles. But the true exception lies in the meat. The meat is more thinly cut than other places and a touch rare with the pink still in the center so that it is impressively melt-in-your-mouth tender. There is a truly generous serving of meat in the dish. The broth had a great balance of spicy kick with non overwhelming fattiness. The portion is also very reasonable for the price.
Atmosphere:
- Unassuming first appearance, nestled in the busy porter parking lot. Very limited number of seating inside and out.
Service:
- Staff was extremely friendly, we got our food at a reasonable time.
Overall:
- I cannot wait to come back to try the other dishes. I was surprised by how well they could pull off both Japanese and Vietnamese dishes!
